Knee arthroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to diagnose and treat problems in the knee joint. During knee arthroscopy, a small camera called an arthroscope is inserted into the knee through a small incision. This allows the surgeon to view the inside of the knee on a monitor and assess any damage or abnormalities.
